The Salesforce update cycle begins anew as the first of three (nominal) 2025 Releases kicks off later this month! Salesforce Partners, Clients, and Users all over the ecosystem will start receiving emails, newsletters, and notifications identifying what changes will impact them the most, and how to address them.
You can stay ahead of the curve by trying and testing all those fancy new features in your very own Dev Org! And today, we’ll show you how to get set up.
Let’s Dive In!
Pre-Release Orgs are a chance for you to enjoy learning, building, and exploring changes to the platform without having to worry about flipping the wrong switch and having to figure out how to make things right again. Turn on as many toggles as you’d like and see what each one does!
This Thursday, August 8th, Salesforce users, a.k.a Trailblazers, will be able to sign up and be assigned a pre-release org that will include all the changes coming with the Winter ’25 Release.
To do so, simply head over to the Salesforce Release HQ on Thursday! (And we’ll add the link here once it goes live, so feel free to bookmark this post!)
And remember: if you already signed up during a previous release, you can simply log back into that org later this week!
Find out what happens when you try this… or if you change that… without the need of impacting anyone using the platform.
Gain access and get a sneak-peak preview of changes coming to features and functionality you may be using that may be changing. Perhaps you’ll discover new functionality for something you use day in and day out. And you can always jump into the Readiness Release Trailblazers forums to see if others have shared similar findings (and this way you’ll be able to share your own).
Prepare your teams for feature changes that may require adjustments to their existing tasks or unlock new features that will enhance what they are already doing.
As more and more people begin to use these Pre-Release Orgs they will help collect and share findings which will help spark conversations and alert others of changes coming to orgs everywhere.
Leverage the benefits of a developer org to explore the release on your own time. Take some time to find and discover something that can benefit you or someone else in the ecosystem.
How do you prepare for the upcoming changes as the countdown to the Winter ’25 Release is here?
Until then, keep working hard, smart, and happy. We’ll see you in the cloud!
