Salesforce Certification is Changing!

Get ready for the July 21 Overhaul!

Big news for Trailblazers: Salesforce certifications are getting a major upgrade. Starting July 21, 2025, all certification management will move to Trailhead Academy—a centralized, personalized hub that brings your learning, certs, and exam prep into one place.

Whether you’re going for your first Admin cert or rounding out your Tableau or MuleSoft credentials, here’s everything you need to know about what’s changing and how to prepare.

What’s Changing (and Why It’s Better)  

Starting July 21, all Salesforce certifications—including Tableau, MuleSoft, Slack, and Accredited Professional—will live under one roof: Trailhead Academy.

Here’s what that means for you:

• A personalized homepage showing upcoming exams and classes
• Centralized tracking for all your certs
• Tailored recommendations for what to learn or earn next
• Easy access to exam details, prep materials, and class registration

Key Dates to Know  

• June 30, 2025
  Last day to register for exams in Webassessor

• July 13, 2025
  Last day to take Salesforce exams in Webassessor

• July 21, 2025
  The new Trailhead Academy certification experience goes live

Downtime: What to Expect (and Avoid)  

Between 6:00 p.m. PT on July 17 and 6:00 a.m. PT on July 21, several systems will be temporarily unavailable, including:

• Trailblazer Profile certification data
• Certification verification tool
• Trailhead Academy instructor-led class browsing/registration

If you’ve scheduled an exam after July 13, you’ll need to reschedule or cancel it. Otherwise, it will be canceled automatically and you’ll receive a voucher to rebook in the new system.

Already paid? You’ll be refunded to your original payment method.

What You Need to Do Before July 21  

Connect your Webassessor email to your Trailblazer Profile:
Go to your profile settings, check your “Connected Accounts,” and make sure your Webassessor email is listed. If it’s missing, click “Connect an Account.”

Don’t create a second Trailblazer Profile just for certifications. Use the one you already have.

Don’t have a Trailblazer Profile yet?
Create one at trailhead.com and use the email tied to your Webassessor account.

A Preview of the New Certification Experience  

Here’s what you can expect when the new experience launches:

• Homepage: See your upcoming exams and training, plus recommended certifications based on your activity
• Catalog: Browse and filter certifications by role, product, or skill
• Exam Pages: Get all the info—pricing, content, prerequisites, languages offered, and more
• Registration: Click “Register Now” to choose between online or in-person testing (via Pearson VUE)
• Prep Resources: After registering, you’ll see relevant exam guides, Trailhead modules, and classes

You’ll be able to schedule exams on mobile, though you still can’t take exams on a phone or tablet.

Accessibility & Accommodations  

Need accommodations?

• You’ll be able to request and manage accommodations directly from your profile
• Any approved accommodations will carry over automatically into the new system

What About Exam Vouchers?  

• Unused + unexpired voucher codes will work in the new system
• Expired codes (before July 21) won’t be valid anymore
• If you cancel an exam booked with a valid voucher, you can reuse it—as long as it hasn’t expired
