See You There: Mile High Dreamin'
Posted on August 26, 2024 (Last modified on December 10, 2024) • 4 min read • 697 wordsTrailblazers take to the Mountains!
The next community conference takes Trailblazers to the mile-high city, Denver, Colorado. Known for its outdoor vistas and majestic rocky mountains where you can ski in the winter and hike in the summer. A breathtaking natural experience all year round.
Led and hosted by multiple Community Groups to help Trailblazers thrive in the Salesforce ecosystem. The main benefits of attending this community conference include moar(!) learning and networking opportunities, hands-on experience, inspirational and motivational speakers with the latest technology and trends in the Salesforce industry.
Taking place at the Marriott Westminster which is around 30+ minutes away from the DEN International Airport and Downtown. This two-day event will kick-off Wednesday, August 28th at 9:00 am.
Expect warm weather all throughout the week with some showers that previous weekend and Mid-to-High-80s during the day with Low-60s at night for the rest of the week. We recommend packing some Colorado Casual attire to make the best out of this experience. And don’t forget to include your latest snagged Salesforce attire/swag.
Bring some comfy shoes (and maybe a backup pair), if you plan to do a hike. Your feet will thank you later.
Anticipate some networking activities taking place the day and night prior so make sure to join their Slack Channel to find out the latest updates. Make sure to arrive early, pick up your badge, and grab a light snack before the Opening Keynote starts at 10:00 am.
From there, Demo Jam takes place until lunch. Afterward, the breakout sessions begin followed by the afternoon Keynote a FlowFest (what is this… Exactly?). Before wrapping up the first happy hour will wrap up D1.
On D2 doors open at 7:30 am with Breakout sessions starting right at 8:00 am. For those enjoying those extracurricular activities the previous day make sure those must-see sessions don’t take place early on D2 to not miss out.
The next Keynote segment takes place right after lunch followed by a 4x4 Q&A? (sounds interesting… a panel perhaps?) before the last set of Breakout Sessions, the Closing Keynote, and wrap-up happy hour which ends at 6:00 pm.
Use the site to plan each day. And… if you haven’t picked up a ticket here to get a conference pass.
For 1 hour on D1, various ISVs/SIs will go head-to-head to demo their Apps in 3-minute presentations. Attendees will then have a chance to vote for their favorite and pick a winner. We should anticipate some crafty demos with fashionably relevant (though occasionally questionable) attire.
This event includes 4 Keynote segments spread throughout 2-days with three different speakers. It’s not clear as to whether or not each speaker will have their own segment with a combination of all at the end or the beginning but this should promise to be an audience draw, with their combined expertise.
First up on the panel list is Guilda Hilaire, Director and Product Marketing at Salesforce. (She keeps herself busy by sharing her expertise within several community conferences each year)
Next is Joshua Birk, Content Architect and Admin Evangelist at Salesforce.
Last but not least, Peter Coffee, VP of Strategic Research at Salesforce will contribute to this panel.
The Keynote segments start at different times each day, so plan your schedule and don’t miss out.
This event, just like many others, provides activities before, during, and after the event to enjoy with Trailblazers. Whether you are reconnecting with an existing friend or colleague to meeting someone face-to-face for the first time. Take time to initiate down-to-earth conversations with the person right next to you.
Wine, beer, and other drinks along with some appetizers and food may be served during each activity but vary from place to place. Leverage these moments to learn more and make connections that may nudge your career opportunities to their next level.
Let us know why you plan to attend these community conferences so we make sure to do our research and include them in our next installment!
Until next time keep working hard, smart, and happy. And we’ll see you in the cloud!
