As more and more features designed to help marketers manage, analyze, and utilize customer data effectively are added to MCG their “Data Kits” (DKs) are also being updated. Consider these the optimized settings that turn switches on and off in order to better handle, segment and target the data within MCG. This Winter ’25 feature reminds user to keep the DKs up to updated in order to ensure the best results for each feature.
Simply head over to the MCG setup assistant and update the DKs for both “Marketing Setup Objects” and “Sales”. This feature changes will apply to the following editions of MCG: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited.
Improve your marketing efforts and campaigns in a timely and relevant matter by now being able to create dynamic content, launch event-based campaigns and use event data to personalize your messages with the AI supported features and functionality of MCG. This Winter ’25 feature takes existing features and sprinkles in a little bit of “AI” to super-charge your marketing efforts.
This feature is still in a preview state so stay tuned for when it becomes generally availble within MCG. These changes will also apply to the following editions of MCG: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited.
Streamlining the setup of a plaform is essential and vital to its success. That is why continous improvements help address what to do when “things don’t go a planned”. This Winter ’25 feature provides some of the upcoming enhancements for Admins.
First up is the ability to install or update DKs at the push of a button. Sounds like a no-brainer but looks like previously DKs required to be installed or updated individually. (Sounds like an IdeaExchange request, if you ask me.)
Next comes in the form of a permission to be included, within a permission set. The “MCGSetupUserPerm” provides users with access to the MCG setup assistant. And… Now becomes included wtihin the Marketing Cloud Admin permission set. Where previously required to be added manually.
This feature is also still in a preview state so stay tuned for when it becomes generally availble within MCG. These changes will also apply to the following editions of MCG: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited.
This Winter ’25 feature will include a series of changes throughout the platform. And seeing that it is in a preview state some of these change may not be available as or writing this article. These changes will also apply to the following editions of MCG: Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited.
First up is the ability to include SMS communication subcription within your preferences page. This way people can either opt in or out of SMS notifications. This will only apply to those editions who have the SMS add-on.
Next, create complex rules for scoring leads and contacts by using multiple conditions or grouping them to a single object. For example, include the ability to identify someone who clicks on an email link and also fills out a landing page form. Refine you scoring rules to help identify potential candidates with more precision.
Unlock the ability to track links and buttons clicks of your landing pages and external sites by using web tracking tools. Simply head over to “External Tracking Setup” to get started.
Last but not least the Marketing Consent component is being retired. Its replacement is here and also known as “Privacy Consent Status”. Make sure to update your page layouts to avoid interruptions.
